Since 1997, over 15,000 state school students from non-privileged homes have benefited from  the Sutton Trust's  UK Summer Schools which aim to demystify elite universities and equip students with the skills they need to make high-quality applications. Participants get a taste of what life as an undergraduate is like through lectures, seminars and tutorials, as well as a varied programme of social activities. We have just under 2,000 places available on this year’s subject-specific courses at 11 of the UK’s leading universities. Applications are open now and will close on Friday 11th March. The summer schools are completely free to attend thanks to generous support from Barclays, the Wolfson Foundation and the Garfield Weston Foundation.
