Wednesday 18 March is National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day. Child sexual exploitation (CSE) is a form of sexual abuse that involves the manipulation and/or coercion of young people under the age of 18 into sexual activity.

This year people are being encouraged to join the campaign to raise awareness of CSE and support zero tolerance in a simple but very effective way. People are being encouraged to write a message on their hand, take a photo of the message and post it on social media; Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #HelpingHands. Mention us in your tweets - @wiltscouncil - and we’ll retweet as many pictures as we can.

If you would like Wiltshire Council to post your picture on our Instagram or Twitter account please send your photo to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and this will be posted for you on the day.
